  • Medical Equipment / devices
  • Past wage loss
  • Mileage
  • Future medical bills

  • Loss of consortium

You need an experienced attorney. While you may be offered money, the insurance company’s goal is to award you the smallest amount that they can for your claim. Insurance companies do not stay in business by paying 100% of every claim.

Don’t rely on the insurance company to advise you - the insurance company is never on your side in a car accident claim. Insurance companies know they are dealing with someone who has little or no experience handling car accident claims and does not know the laws as well as they do. Without a lawyer, the insurance company knows they have an advantage over you.

Our law firm offers a free consultation and evaluation for your case.  Call our main office located in Plantation, Florida to schedule your appointment.  If you’ve been hurt and can’t come in, or simply can't make it to our office, we are happy to meet with you in your home or hospital room.

Traumatic Brain Injury

Boyd Injury Law offers you an experienced traumatic brain injury attorney. Traumatic brain injury, often referred to as TBI, is not a static event. Rather, it is a lifelong, chronic injury that does not improve but declines over time.

A brain injury is different from a herniated disc, broken limb or muscle strain. An injury in these areas will limit the use of a specific part of your body, but your personality and mental abilities remain unchanged. Conversely, the consequences of a traumatic brain injury will affect all aspects of your life, including your personality.

It is important to hire an experienced brain injury attorney to help you with your case.  No two brain injuries are alike and the consequence of two similar injuries may be very different. Symptoms may appear right away or may not be present for days or weeks after the injury occurs.  You need an experienced brain injury attorney who understands the complexities of brain injury litigation.

Homeowner's Insurance Claims

Insurance companies deny homeowner's insurance claims, many times alleging there is no coverage under the homeowner's insurance policy. If they have denied your homeowner’s insurance claim, we can help.  We have decades of experience examining insurance policies to determine if coverage exists.  We are aware of what payments the insurance companies are required to make.  We can also assist with investigation as to what caused the damage and securing expert witnesses who will be helpful in proving your homeowner’s insurance claim dispute against the insurance company.

We understand that dealing with an insurance company can be difficult. Insurance companies have made the process of filing and collecting on insurance claims a daunting task, with the hopes that most policyholders will abandon their claims, especially after being denied compensation. We will simplify the process for you and will help ensure that you receive the full amount available under your policy.

Many times our attorney’s fees are paid by your insurance company when we prevail.  Don’t let the insurance company discourage you or give you the run around. Our law firm offers a free consultation and evaluation for your homeowner's insurance claim. Call our main office located in Plantation, Florida to schedule your appointment.

Homeowner's Insurance Claims

Disputes with your own insurance company can be overwhelming.  What forms do you sign? Do you have to give a statement? What documents do you need to submit? How do you prove your claim? Why won't the insurance company pay your claim.

Our firm has been answering questions like these for individuals whose insurance companies have reduced or denied their claims.  We are experienced in many areas - auto accidents, personal injury protection (PIP) claims, med pay claims, wage loss claims, homeowner's insurance claims, property damage and many others.

Did you know that in the majority of instances, your insurance company pays your attorney's fees if you prevail in a suit against them?  They know this and may continue to deny your claims if you are not represented by an experienced competent attorney.

Personal Injury Protection Claims

Automobile Insurance companies routinely deny and/or reduce bills submitted for reimbursement under a person's Personal Injury Protection (PIP) coverage. These denials and reductions are for medical bills, mileage reimbursement, wage loss and reimbursement for medically necessary prescriptions, supplies and equipment.

Some denials are easy to identify, for instance, when the insurance company allows zero for your submitted claim. However, most reductions are extremely difficult to recognize and, even when recognized, require a complex analysis of Fla. Stat. 627.736 and years of case law to determine if the denial or reduction was proper. Many times it even appears as if the bill was reimbursed properly when it indeed was not.

Since 2003, attorney Brian Boyd has represented numerous medical providers and individuals whose PIP claims were improperly denied or reduced. He has successfully prosecuted countless PIP suits over the years recovering vast amounts of benefits that were improperly reduced or denied by the insurance company.

Our firm offers an absolutely free check or double check for any of your PIP claims. We will review and submit at no cost or risk to you and will be able to determine if your bills were paid correctly or if they were improperly reduced or denied by the insurance company. This can be done even if you believe all bills were paid directly or even if you already had another attorney previously review them.

Unpaid or Underpaid Wage Claims

Employees in Florida have a statutory right to recover unpaid or underpaid wages. What is even better is that the Florida Statutes allow you, in addition to recovering your wages, to recover your attorney's fees and costs from your employer.

Florida Statute 448.08 states that:

Attorney’s fees for successful litigants in actions for unpaid wages. The court may award to the prevailing party in an action for unpaid wages costs of the action and a reasonable attorney’s fee.
